What is Ayurveda?
The aim of Ayurveda is nothing short of perfect health. This ancient healing system from India is closely related to Yoga and provides many easy to learn and practical tools for achieving the balance of physical, mental and spiritual elements that is the foundation of optimal wellness.
According to Ayurveda, each of us has a unique constitution. Our constitution is a specific balance of the five essential physical elements: ether, air, fire, water and earth.
In the human body, the five elements combine to form three fundamental energies called doshas. The three doshas are Vata, Pitta and Kapha. If our unique balance of these three doshas is upset, it can lead to physical and psychological disharmony.
Our natural state of being is a state of perfect health. Ayurvedic health care harmonizes our body, senses, heart, mind and spirit, allowing our natural state of perfect health to emerge.
